An expatriate died in a car accident yesterday.
John Frazier, 47, and the Asia-Pacific director of U.S. investment bank Hogawny Flinch, was driving south-east on Pasir Panjang Road at about 5 p.m. when he lost control of the car and it smashed into a utility pole.
The impact crushed the whole front of the car and Mr Frazier was thrown through the windshield where he landed some 20 feet away. Moreover, it was raining and he wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
This is the fourth such accident to happen on this stretch in the past eight months. However, it is the first fatality in the area since 1997.
